Book Three Progress Report

Everyone has been asking me where I’m at with my third book and when it will be available.

So, as far as where I’m at:

I’m well into it, but I have a long way to go. I start in 1823 so there is a lot of history to get through. I’m very familiar with the early years and I’m very familiar with the later years. What I am having to spend a lot of time on is the middle years after the Mountain Meadows Massacre and the settling of the American West and before Lori, Chad, Alex and possibly others committed their crimes.

It’s interesting history. It includes the FLDS, Colorado City, the development of fundamentalist Mormonism and what led to groups like AVOW and PaP.

As you know if you read my first two books, I am interested in understanding how we created a Chad and a Lori. I really feel like I’m getting there, but it’s a process. It’s tempting, but I’m not going to hurry the process in order to get the book out while the story is hot.

So, hang in there and be patient with me. Hopefully I’ll have a book I’m happy with in early 2026.
